ZOOB is comparatively new in the toy market but it adds a different and refreshing alternative to other more familiar brick building brands like LEGO or Mega Block. Instead of using bricks and blocks as the building pieces, this ZOOB Galax-Z Lunar Pathfinder uses ball and socket joint configuration. In 2015, ZOOB introduced a variety of ZOOB Galax-Z space sets and this Lunar Pathfinder is a new set for 2016 for expanding this range for more building possibilities.
This is a fairly small set but the instructions show various builds that you can make with it. Altogether this is a 25 piece kit that comes with 16 ZOOB Pieces, Helio the ZOOBonaut and 8 ZOOB Galax-Z accessories.

ZOOB recommend the Lunar Pathfinder for kids aged between 6 – 15 years, though we agree that 6 years old is a good age to get started with ZOOB sets but older teenagers might find the sets a little too youngish for them. If you have kids from 6 – 12 who enjoy constructing building sets like LEGO they are likely to be interested in ZOOB. If they already have ZOOB sets they will certainly be happy to add this one to their collection.
Toys with space themes seem to be universally popular with young children especially boys so this would make a great gift.
